Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and passionate professional to join our team in the fisheries sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and improving fisheries operations, ensuring sustainable fishery practices, and supporting aquaculture development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee fisheries and aquaculture operations, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
- Monitor fish populations, habitats, and water quality to assess ecological balance.
- Develop and implement sustainable fishing and aquaculture management strategies.
- Conduct research on fish breeding, disease control, and nutrition for improved production.
- Work closely with local fishermen, government agencies, and stakeholders to promote responsible fishing practices.
- Assist in the design and management of aquaculture farms, hatcheries, and fish processing units.
- Conduct environmental impact assessments and recommend conservation strategies.
- Provide training and technical support to fishermen and fish farmers.
- Stay updated on fisheries policies, marine regulations, and technological advancements.
Requirements:
- Experience in fisheries management, aquaculture, or marine conservation.
- Strong knowledge of fish species, breeding techniques, and sustainable fisheries practices.
- Ability to analyze data related to fish stocks, water quality, and environmental impact.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to work in field conditions, including coastal and inland water bodies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of fisheries law, marine policy, and regulatory frameworks.
- Familiarity with seafood processing, preservation, and export standards.
- Certification in fisheries management or aquaculture (preferred).
